Simpson Coulson Limited (SCL) were instructed by Camphill Village Trust (CVT) to carry out a design and build package for the construction of a new car park on their facility in Botton Village. The activities SCL carried out included earthworks, retaining wall design & construction, a footpath behind the retaining wall with all new surfaces block paved.
Dredging of river bed down to 8m to allow bigger vessels to berth. The use of precast concrete units and steel tubular piles tied in with an insitu concrete deck for lifting operations. Design of new fender system to cope with larger vessels berthing.
Full re-development of Bulkhaul Headquarters from main office building to tank wash facilities in 8No. work packages.
Design of foundation on Johnson Matthey site for Sabic. Structural detailing, structural calculations, supervision of construction works.
